Dolls are one of the finest arts of Nepal. These dolls symbolize a Jyapu, a caste of Nepal. They live in Kathmandu valley. They are very hard working and love to be in their own society or circle. Here Jyapu couple is shown in their own customs. In their community, husband does the outside work and wife take cares of her house and family. Male Jyapu specially ploughs the fields and sells the fruits and crops in the market. Here you can see that the male Jyapu is going to the market to sell his fruits in Kharpan (Balance like pot used to carry goods in villages of Nepal) and his wife is standing with him. This beautifully dressed piece of art is perfect for decoration.
